Shangwharf area is a fusion of Wanjiang culture, Tongcheng school, quay market, martial arts and opera, forming the unique folk customs and production lifestyle of Zongyang people.

The design integrates cultural landscape elements with rich site characteristics such as ancient city culture, industrial relics, Tongcheng culture, shipping culture (pier) and intangible cultural heritage into the park after interpretation to create a strong local landscape atmosphere. Borrowing allusions from celebrities’ former residences and historical legends to build landscape spaces, combining traditional architecture with new architectural techniques, reshaping the cultural features of the old city.
